The Allegheny Regional Asset District
District Allocations 1997
The following is a list obtained from the Allegheny Regional Asset District which was
approved on November 26, 1996. These figures are a summary of allocation approved for the
1997 calendar year. At the time of this entry, the Civic Arena and the Allegheny County
Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall were seeking funds. On January 15, 1997, the RAD Board
will convene to discuss re-opening the budget to include these two entities.
Contractual (Statutory) Assets
This category of assets received agreements covering a 10-year period with the 1995
funding level serving as the floor funding level. Meeting various requirements under their
cooperation and support agreements, these assets are guaranteed funding during this
contract period.

basis. In adopting these grants, the Board cited several criteria used to evaluate
submissions: (1) proposals from assets that were clearly regional in nature; (2)
organizations with outreach programs for the innercity; and (3) organizations which
supported youth activities.
