Dear Mr. English:

     Enclosed is a copy of our letter of 29 September 1998. I would have expected you to have received our letter by 12 October. Our extended response time resulted from staff vacation schedules in August and September that added to our response time. As a matter of information, the regulations that govern the National Register process set a 60-day standard for responding to a request to nominate a property to the National Register of Historic Places. Our office generally responds within 30 days but in this case took longer.
